Service Description

This is the first phase of the opening of Floyds Row, which will be fully operational from spring 2020. This service was temporarily delivered from Simon House

Somewhere Safe to Stay (SStS) Oxford, provides short-term accommodation to people who are new to rough sleeping or individuals who are at immediate risk of rough sleeping

In the first phase there will be 12 SStS beds, alongside 8 Winter Shelter Beds – it will also be able to offer severe weather emergency protocol (SWEP) spaces, when required, for those with multiple and enduring complex needs.

Key functions & activities offered

The services on offer include:

  • A daytime assessment centre delivering personalised assessments and housing plans
  • Those who access the service are assessed and provided with a move on option (Single Service Offer) that best meets their individual needs
  • Single Service Offer’s include: reconnection, supporting people into private rented accommodation, moving in with family and/or accessing the Adult Homeless Pathway in Oxford.
  • Temporary / short term bed spaces, staffed 24/7
