If you’re worried about someone sleeping rough, you can let OxSPOT or StreetLink know about them – including where they normally sleep.
OxSPOT and StreetLink aren’t emergency services but they will follow up all calls and referrals as quickly as possible. If your health or someone else’s is in immediate danger, please call 999.
If you are concerned about someone in hot weather then you are right to be concerned. If someone has no access to water, shade or protection from the sun, extremely hot weather can be life threatening. If you see that someone is seriously unwell and in need of urgent medical assistance, call the emergency services immediately.
There are things that you can do in hot weather to help. After you have made OxSPOT or StreetLink aware of your concerns, you can help by keeping people hydrated and protected from the sun. You can make donations of sun cream and bottled water to people directly or donate these goods to one of our many partners for distribution when there is a hot spell.
